The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is continuing to investigate a pollution incident in the River Devon, which resulted in a significant fish kill this week. SEPA staff have been undertaking inspections and water testing surveys throughout the river over the last few days and will continue to assess the overall impact of the incident. SEPA has been working with other relevant agencies and the advice from public health experts at NHS Forth Valley is that the public should avoid either bathing or fishing in the water until the results of the investigation is known.
Should anyone have public or animal health concerns regarding this incident, please contact your Local Authority Environmental Health dept. who will be able to address your concerns.
