Flooding update – as at 16.30

  27 December 2013

A number of flood alerts are still in place in Scotland for the Borders, Ayrshire and Arran, Central, Dumfries and Galloway, Dundee and Angus, West Central Scotland and Tayside. There currently 13 flood warnings out for agricultural land in Tayside.

Flood alerts and warnings for coastal flooding have now been removed, as the high tides have passed.

Rivers are expected to rise due to the ongoing showers across the country today and into this evening, which may lead to further flood warnings being issued, particularly for low lying agricultural land.  The weather over the weekend is forecast to be drier, which should allow for river levels to drop.

Our staff are working throughout the festive period and the most up-to-date information will be available on our website or via Floodline on 0845 988 1188.
