Marc Becker, Duty Flooding Manager for SEPA,
“This week will see another period of unsettled weather, starting with the arrival of rain and snow across much of southern Scotland today and overnight into Tuesday.
“In particular today, disruption is possible along the Solway Firth coastline as high spring tides combine with waves to create a risk of wave and spray over-topping.
“More widely, small watercourses and rivers across southern regions are likely to respond to rainfall and snowmelt tomorrow and into Wednesday. Some localised flooding to low lying land and roads is possible in Dumfries and Galloway, Scottish Borders, Edinburgh and Lothians, West Central Scotland and Fife.”
