Marc Becker, Duty Flooding Manager for SEPA, said:
“Persistent rainfall is expected to cause surface water flooding across parts of western Scotland today. The areas expected to see the most impacts are Skye and Lochaber, Argyll and Bute, Wester Ross and western areas of Tayside and Central Scotland where travel disruption, and flooding affecting properties and communities is possible.
“Localised flooding of low lying land and roads from small watercourses and travel disruption is also possible in many other western areas today.
“The persistent rainfall is expected to clear later this evening. Live, real-time flood updates are available on the SEPA website or for specific notifications for your area, please sign up to Floodline on 0345 988 1188.
