The extreme weather has produced huge challenges and the commitment of our staff has ensured that essential services, including SEPA’s Contact Centre, continue to be delivered to our communities.
The following SEPA offices remain closed today (Friday 2 March) and across the weekend:
Should conditions change for the remaining open offices, decisions will be made and communicated as necessary.
SEPA’s Emergency Management Team met this afternoon to review guidance from the Met Office, Scottish Government and Police Scotland. Whilst the extreme weather conditions begin to ease, a yellow ‘be aware’ warning remains in force across much of the country and significant disruption to transport should be expected while services are restored. Police advice is travel only if necessary.
Whilst based on current forecasts, we expect all offices to open as normal on Monday morning, the Emergency Management Team will meet again on Sunday. An update will be issued by 4pm on Sunday via email, via business continuity messaging service, via SESIL on (01698) 839 025, via social media channels and our website.
SEPA will also issue social media updates alerting our customers to any impact on our services.
