Statement on the IPCC Report

  10 August 2021

Commenting on the IPCC Report, Terry A'Hearn, Chief Executive at Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) said:

“The landmark report from the IPCC is a clarion call for what the world already knows - that the climate emergency is accelerating and only through radical collaboration, similar to that achieved in the healthcare emergency, can we all prosper.

“The report is a wake-up call to a weary world but as a nation who’s innovation helped shape the first industrial revolution, Scottish business, public services, communities and consumers are more than able to mould a brighter future in tomorrow’s net zero revolution.”
